"Restocking the table with FBI giveaways"

Alumni Member Robert Armand with daughter Madison (who accumulated community service hours) did a fantastic job running the FBI Miami CAAA booth.
On August 4, 2010, FBI Miami CAAA and FBI-Miami Division participated in the “National Night Out Against Crime” community festival in Margate, Florida. The annual event welcomed over 10,000 parents and children from surrounding neighborhoods, providing them with free food, games, rides, and essential information from national security agencies, local law enforcement offices, relief, social service, and community outreach organizations. The FBI Miami CAAA was proud to receive the invitation to share our information with the community. With the generous donation from FBI National Citizen’s Academy Alumni Association, the South Florida Chapter was able to distribute 1,000 Safety ID Kits to the attendees. The parents were thrilled to receive the new packets, and appreciative to learn about the recent inclusion of the DNA kit in the FBI’s missing persons profile. The “Night Out Against Crime” program and the Alumni Association (and FBI-Miami Division) involvement was a great success! The Margate Chief of Police has already extended an invitation for the Alumni Association to participate in this annual event every year.
With our next batch, the Alumni Association will distribute at 1-2 University of Miami Football games. Alumni Members will receive e-mail when this volunteer opportunity is confirmed.
