 Greetings!

In 2004, little did I know I would have the honor and privilege to meet a group of individuals who would have a significant impact on my life.  Being selected as one of the inaugural invitees of the FBI-Miami Citizens Academy program was a great honor.  The 12 weeks spent in this phenomenal program was not only unique in that I was privy to education that only a small percentage of Americans had ever experienced.  But more importantly than that, the class forged life-long relationships with fellow colleagues and the FBI-Miami family.

When the 2004 graduates were asked to take up the task of establishing the FBI Miami Citizens Academy Alumni Association (FBI CAAA-SF), we were unanimously on board.  Harnessing our expertise, the board was able to quickly institute the Chapter and move forward with collaborating with the FBI-Miami Division to develop, design, and implement initiatives that attended to both missions, which is to educate South Florida communities with programs that could in some significant way enhance the quality of life of youth, adults, and seniors.

No one person can achieve success on his or her own.  In my experience, the best and most sustainable success comes from a team effort.  I proudly confess the Alumni Association’s Board of Directors is the backbone for the successful operation of this organization.  The Board is adamant to maintain a transparency and professional stance that consists of integrity, honesty, and respect for the organization, members, and the FBI Agency.   

As for our membership, we are very blessed to have a family of members who contribute, selflessly, their time and energy to help the Alumni Association mature into an influential and principled organization South Florida residents can be proud of.

With every new FBI Citizens’ Academy graduating class, the Alumni Association is endowed with new supporters who invigorate and energize the organization.  I look forward to welcoming every new FBI-Miami Citizens’ Academy graduate to this distinguished membership association.
