Welcome Message Miami SAC

A message from Special Agent in Charge John V. Gillies of the FBI Miami Division:

Since 1993, the FBI Citizens' Academy has allowed more than 12,000 community leaders across the country a rare and up-close look at the mission and capabilities of the FBI.  The academy gives us an opportunity to build stronger partnerships with recognized civic, religious, and business leaders.  The graduates enable us to stay better attuned to the concerns of our communities, are more willing to pick up the phone and call us with information that could help solve or prevent crimes, and become "ambassadors" of the FBI who dispel myths and misunderstandings about the agency.  I appreciate the extra step graduates take by joining the alumni association to further their education and to support the mission of the FBI by working directly with us on public safety initiatives.
