The FBI Miami Citizens Academy Alumni Association (FBI Miami CAAA) Speakers Bureau was established in 2011 to assist the FBI Miami with fulfilling its community education outreach initiative.
The Speaker's Bureau's objective is to inform the public about the missions, priorities, and organization of today's FBI. This information provides everyday citizens insight into the FBI's role in combating the major threats faced by our country: terrorism, espionage, and all forms of cyber crimes, including identity theft, Medicare Fraud, and Internet scams.
The presenters are not FBI agents, but civilians who have graduated the FBI Citizen's Academy and have been exposed, in detail, to the workings of the FBI, both at the Miami Field office, as well as at the FBI Academy in Quantico, and FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C.
Through these presentations, our goal is to enhance awareness of the Bureau's activities, dispel any misperceptions, and encourage the community to assist the FBI in its mission of protecting our communities and nation.
Demystify false conceptions that intimidate or discourage cooperation with the FBI
Inform the public about the mission, priorities and organization of the FBI.
