2020 Spirit of Giving......Miami Rocks!!

Spirit of Giving

Boystown & MAC

During the morning of December 19th, our chapter’s Spirit of Giving initiative distributed toys and needed personal items to 50 unaccompanied migrant children ages 7-17 who are being housed in a church facility known as The Boys Town Center/Walsh Children’s Village.

In the afternoon, we continued our giving by distributing toys and needed personal items to children of migrant workers ages 5-18 living in a labor housing in Homestead, Florida. Gifts were distributed at the Mexican American Counsel Parent Center (MAC). Food cards and gift cards were given as well to the mariachi teachers, school administrators and profession musicians.

The FBI Miami CAAA felt completely humbled by the outpouring of volunteerism and support during our Spirit of Giving outreach, as we brought smiles and holiday cheer in our underserved communities.

Spirit of Giving Toy Distribution

The Edge Foundation, MDC School Board Member District 9 Ms. Luisa Santos, the FBI MIAMI CITIZENS ACADEMY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION and Homestead Police distribute toys, food, and clothing to Migrant Farming Families and their children at Blakely Park Homestead, Florida.

Bringing Holiday Joy to South Florida Families

We are so thankful to have such amazing collaborative partners. This holiday season’s Spirit of Giving initiative delivered Thanksgiving from our FBI / CAAA families to our schools and their families. We provided 50 dinners to Neva King Cooper Education Center for profoundly handicapped students; 25 turkeys and 25 dinners, school supplies and hygiene products to (2) additional schools: Campbell Drive K8 Center in Homestead & Pine Villa Elementary in Goulds, Florida.

A special thank you to our partners and go-givers: FBI Miami Field Office (Jeff Green and Support Staff), FBI Miami CAAA (Larry Feldman), Miami Beach Police Foundation (Al Eskanazy), Miami-Date County Public Schools Board Member Luisa Santos, District 9, Share Your Heart Foundation, Principals Thelma Fornell & Elianeys Basulto and Staff, Jackie Falser, Chief of Staff, Ana Othon, South Regional Office, Miami-Date School Police Officer Menacal representing Police Chief Edwin Lopez.
